Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov has picked his preferred Red Devils main No.9 striker between Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
Man United sold Striker Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan on transfer deadline day and their efforts to sign a replacement for the Belgium international proved unsuccessful.
DAILY POST recalls that Lukaku joined Antonio Conte’s men from Manchester United on Thursday night.
The former Chelsea and Everton star joined the Serie A giants on a five-year deal for £73million.
Berbatov now wants Rashford to play as Man United’s main striker ahead of Martial this season.
Asked who should play in the No.9 role at Man United this term, Berbatov told MEN Sport: “Marcus Rashford. I’m a big fan of Anthony Martial, and played with him at Monaco, but I’d keep him on the left where he can cut inside and shoot.
“When you a play a mobile front three they can switch and confuse defenders, so I hope to see United’s frontmen mixing it up in this one.”
